Recent CV

My professional experiences range from regional, paleotectonic and basin analysis studies (Ph.D. research work) through more conventional subsurface sedimentology/sedimentary petrology (oil company employment and at WMU in the Michigan basin), to coastal geology and coastal change studies in the Michigan Great Lakes (Lake Michigan in particular).  These research activities all revolve around the application of sedimentary geology to a wide range of applied research problems. I am currently interested in application of conventional, oil field reservoir characterization methodology to bedrock aquifer delineation/water resources issues. My research activities have also lead to the integration of computer systems technology (especially GIS) to earth systems, coastal change, water resources and land use planning problems.
